Chemutai Mbatianyi is Lusaka's running mate

Senate speaker Kenneth Makelo Lusaka has unveiled Jenipher Chemutai Mbatianyi as his running mate in the coming general election set for August 9 this year.He named Chemutai today in Bungoma town.

Lusaka is seeking to reclaim the seat he lost to the sitting governor Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati in 2017. He will be using Ford Kenya Party ticket,a party lead by Bungoma senator Moses Masika Weyangula.Ford Kenya is one of the political parties in Kenya Kwanza Coalition under the leadership of the deputy president Dr. William Kipchirchir Samoe Ruto.

While unveiling his running mate,Lusaka said that his government will work hand in hand to provide a better service to the residents of Bungoma county.

Jenipher Chemutai Mbatianyi is coming from Mount Elgon constituency.She will be representing women and the minority group of Kalenjin communities living in Bungoma county.

Lusaka will have to square it out with the sitting governor Wycliffe Wafula Wangamati who is using the Democratic Party of Kenya ticket.
