The wrangles in the Jubilee party have continued to thrive a few days after the party committee announced the removal of William Ruto as the deputy party leader. The committee reached at this decision after accusing Ruto of associating himself with a rival political party. The United Democratic party (UDA) has been linked with the deputy president and the party has been contesting with the Jubilee party in some of the by-elections.
Ruto allied politicians have however maintained that UDA has a coalition agreement with the Jubilee party and therefore it's members should not be treated like outsiders. Some members of Jubilee have hinted of plans to move out and ditch the party in 2022.
The Tangatanga legislators have been accusing the party officials of harassing them and this made them look for an alternative party. The lawmakers allied to Ruto were dewhipped from powerful seats both in parliament and in the party. Soy member of parliament, Caleb Kositany, was the last person to be ejected as the party's deputy secretary general and his position was given to Joshua Kutuny.
South Mugirango MP, Silvanus Osoro, has joined the rest of the Ruto's brigade in castigating the Jubilee party and it's leadership. Speaking at an interview in TV47, Osoro has pronounced Jubilee as a dead party adding that it's now a shelter for two elders. One of the elders is the party vice chairman, David Murathe, but the MP has refused to disclose the other elder.
The lawmaker has also alluded that even though he was elected in the Jubilee party ticket, he is considering himself as an outsider. Osoro has also expressed his faith that UDA will win the Machakos senatorial by-election.
