The Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga today lashed out at the deputy president for his continuity with the hustler narrative. She noted that the Dp was misleading Kenyans by promoting wheelbarrows as a source of employment.
Wanga then told the Turkana residents that if wheelbarrows were the tools that Kenyans were going to use in order to get potential employment opportunities, then there was no need of the government investing in building schools.
The residents though shouted saying that they preferred their children to access education and not be made to push wheelbarrows. The vocal leader further added that it was very unfortunate the country had leaders like Ruto.
On BBI issue, Gladys said that if the residents pass it, they had a chance of getting development as the ward development fund had been increased. She also added that there was an extra constituency that they were going to get which was a big plus for them.
She finally rallied all women in the county to support the document as they were going to be the biggest beneficiaries. She said that women were going to be nominated as senators and this will ensure that the two third rule was achieved.
