As Politics is seen to gain heavyweights in Kenya, various leaders have been seen to form coalitions with various parties in order for them to survive politically.
Musalia Mudavadi is among the presidential hopefuls who is set to vie for Presidency in the coming 2022 general elections.
He has been endorsed by Luhya council of elders to be their leader in the western region.
Even though he is a Luhya, Oparanya has said he won't support a leader who is loosing.
Speaking on 10th October 2021, while on an interview on K24 Television, Oparanya said they don't want to be in the opposition next year.
“We do not want to be in Opposition, we want to be part of government next year. If we talk about Musalia Mudavadi, and he has no chance of winning....As a community we don't want to pretend" said Oparanya while on an interview.
