Wiper Democratic Movement Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Saturday sent a message to President William Ruto's camp, telling them that Azimio leaders are not interested in any job in his cabinet.
It is being said that the President is set to name his cabinet on Monday next week, but Kalonzo has assured Kenyans that Azimio leaders are not interested in any of the jobs that the President is set to give out.
Kalonzo has said that all Azimio leaders are already busy and satisfied with what they are doing from where they are, the opposition.
"Our leaders in Azimio are not interested in your jobs in Cabinet… We are busy already where we are," Kalonzo Musyoka is quoted by Citizen Digital
It is not clear whether President Ruto had shown indicators of appointing a person from the Azimio side to join his cabinet, thus forcing Kalonzo to put an early stopper or not.
What is clear is that cabinet positions are always and government jobs are always limited, with the ruling party forced to do a lot of consultations before arriving at suitable names.
In most cases, some loyalists are left disappointed if they end up missing key positions in government.
President Ruto had earlier confirmed that he will not appoint any member of the opposition into the government.
