Ruto Tosha - Mt Kenya MP Finally Leaves Kieleweke (VIDEO)

Deputy president, William Ruto

The deputy president, William Ruto, continues to enjoy huge support especially from Mt Kenya region. This can be confirmed through the just concluded by-elections where UDA party has won most of the seats.

The Kiambaa parliamentary by-election was termed as the compass that will give the political direction to the people of Mt Kenya region. Now that UDA party won in the hotly contested election, a mass exodus of politicians from Kieleweke to UDA is anticipated and it has already stated to take place.

Laikipia women representative, Cate Waruguru, hinted that she will not sink with the Jubilee ship. She went ahead to put Jubilee party on notice that she would be making a major announcement.

True to her word, the lawmaker has declared that she will be supporting William Ruto for presidency in 2022. Speaking during a women empowerment programme in Laikipia, Waruguru alluded that she has listened to the people and her analysis shows that people want William Ruto to be the next head of State.

"As I said earlier, I'm an intelligent person and I can't allow my political career to be ruined by Jubilee party. The party is on its deathbed." Said the lawmaker.

"I have held over 40 meetings across Laikipia county and I have listened to the people. It is clear that William Ruto is the most preferred candidate. His bottom up economic model is resonating well with the people on the ground. I can confidently say Ruto Tosha," added Waruguru.

The women who had gathered in that function were impressed by the MP's decision where they went ahead to cheer her. Waruguru also noted that she supports Ruto donations to churches castigating those who have been attacking the second in command. The parliamentarian also disclosed that she will not defend her seat next year and will instead vie for Laikipia East MP.

Cate was previously a Ruto diehard before changing her mind one year ago. She joined Kieleweke in 2020 and promised to be loyal to president Uhuru Kenyatta only for her to change her stand again.
