The retiring incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga are the sons of the founding fathers of Kenya. While President Uhuru Kenyatta is the son of the first president of Kenya, the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Hon Raila Amolo Odinga is the son of the first Vice President of Kenya, the late Mzee Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
The former deputy speaker Farah Maalim has publicly spilled the beans on why the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga calls incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta his brother. According to Hon Farah Maalim, he said Hon Raila keeps on calling incumbent President Uhuru brother because anytime he talks about the founding fathers of this country, he is only talking about two people, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and Mzee Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
