What Raila Told A Mammoth Crowd That Gave Security Guards Hard Time In Nakuru

For the third time in less than two months, Odinga visited Nakuru, campaigning on promises of national unity and economic relief.

At an event aimed to popularize his Azimio La Umoja (a promise of unity) agenda, the former premier met with officials of the Akorino church at Pelican Golf Resort in Elementaita.

Top religious leaders from Kenya's All Israel Churches, recruited from various parts of the country, prayed for Mr Odinga and wished him well in his bid to become President following the 2022 General Election.

Last month, Mr Odinga launched his declaration of unity campaign in Nakuru.

The ODM leader reaffirmed his plea for unity at the meeting on Saturday, stressing that the country's stability is the best way to secure economic success.

"I ask all of you to walk with me in the journey to liberate Kenyans from the yoke of the economic burden and social ills bedeviling our country. I am ready to lead Kenyans to the third and final liberation, which will ensure Kenyans coexist peacefully,create employment opportunities and reduce the economic burden," said ODM leader Raila Odinga
