Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has celebrated the overwhelming support that the Building Bridges Initiative report has been given throughout a majority of County Assemblies in Kenya.
Through his Twitter and other social media accounts, the handshake partner of president Uhuru Kenyatta has noted that Tuesday was indeed a super Tuesday for the Constitution Amendment Bill.
More than 29 counties have endured the report by the time this article was being written which was overwhelming show of support for both president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill is now headed to the National Assembly and the Senate after it on Tuesday crossed the 24 counties mark required in law.
Raila during the weekend expressed confidence that the required 24 assemblies would have passed the BBI Bill by Tuesday, paving the way for it’s next step; the National Assembly.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is also expected to express his excitement since he has been supporting the Building Bridges Initiative report through directly campaigning for it in different fora.
