Yesterday, Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya had a nine hours meeting with deputy president Dr William Ruto at Kilgoris and Masai Mara game reserve.
According to the source, deputy president hosted governor Oparanya, former cabinet secretaries Rashid Echesa, Mwangi Kiunjuri and Narok West area Member of Parliament Hon. Gabriel Tongoyo at his Kilgoris farm.
The meeting between Ruto and Oparanya sparkled alot of mixed reactions from Kenyans and political analysts who questioned the aim of their meeting.
It has been revealed that there are two main possible reasons for the Ruto-Oparanya meeting ahead of 2022 general elections. It's allegedly said that it's either Oparanya is working as Raila Odinga's emissary to ensure there is a political alliance between Ruto and Odinga ahead of the 2022 polls.
Another possible reason for the meeting is that Oparanya is likely to be on his way out of Odm party to partner with Ruto ahead of the general elections.
In conclusion, the meeting comes after Kalonzo Musyoka,Moses Wetangula, Gideon Moi and Musalia Mudavadi mutually agreed to work together ahead of 2022 general elections using One Kenya Alliance.
