
According to a post by Ann Mumbi Waiguru who recently decamped from Jubilee and Joined Ruto's UDA, several leaders from her home turf and other areas thronged her event which seek to bring services closer to the people of Kirinyaga. This bringing to limelight her influence in the region.

Waiguru who is now seeking a second term as Governor of Kirinyaga was in the company several Kirinyaga Member of County Assemblies who are also allied to Ruto's UDA party. The function was to witness the opening of a Dispensary in one of the wards in the area which is densely populated.
Her move coming just months to the August election with her main competitor telling her off saying that she is doing so to seek cheap publicity and favour from the residents. Ngirici also accusing her of misappropriation of public funds in the county of Kirinyaga.
