Dr William Ruto was declared a winner after garnering a total 7.1 million votes against Raila who got 6.9 million votes. Raila later moved to Supreme Court to challenge Dr William Ruto victory.
However, on September 5, 2022 seven Supreme Court Judges unanimously upheld President Ruto victory saying Raila's petition had lacked substantial evidence to nulify presidential election.
Raila's loss to William Ruto dealt him a major blow after losing for the fifth time. Many knew that this was the end of Raila. However details have now emerged that Raila is in early 2027 presidential bid plan. This will be the sixth time Raila will be running for country's top sit.
According to The Star, Raila could soon unveil campaigns for reform at Supreme Court. The source further reveals that former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga is planning regional tours to consolidate his team.
