UDA Party Membership Registration Intensifies As A Vocal Senator Pledges This

The United Democratic Alliance party, the party associated with the deputy president William Ruto is currently during mass registration of new members.

The party had launched online registrations after president Uhuru banned all political gatherings in the country, however, the party has been conducting physical registrations but strictly adheres to the guidelines set by ministry of health.

Tanga Tanga leaders have been leading the process and they are determined to bring more members into the party before 2022 general elections.

In Nakuru county, senator Susan Kihika and Bahati constituency member of parliament Hon. Kimani Ngunjiri have been leading the exercise. According to the party, the vocal senator has promised to lead mass registration that will see Nakuru county lead other counties in terms of registered members.

"Senator Susan Kihika pledged to ensure the County has the highest number of registered members compared to other counties within two weeks." The party stated.

Nakuru county has been a stronghold of the ruling Jubilee party, the region overwhelmingly supported president Uhuru in 2013 and 2017 presidential elections, however, with this move, Jubilee is likely to lose the region.

Susan Kihika and Ngunjiri were among those who led campaigns that saw Jubilee party lose the London ward seat, the two have promised to ensure the region becomes UDA's stronghold.
