The 2022 general elections are approaching, we are remaining with less than twelve months to the much awaited polling day.Presidential hopefuls have been touring all corners of Kenya in efforts to popularise their bids by selling political agendas.
Mount Kenya region in particular has attracted many aspirants.Hon Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Samoei Ruto who are among the contestants in the race have been receiving pressure from leaders to pick their running mates from the region.
The region is a voters endowed area and getting support from the residents would be a sure bet of winning.Today, Mt Kenya leaders and business people joined Raila in a luncheon at a Nairobi hotel.
The Mount Kenya Foundation chairman, Peter Munga addressed the attendees and delivered a powerful message to Raila Odinga.He said that the ODM party leader does not need to look for followers because his inspiration will simply draw them to him.
He also added that what happened on Monday when he toured the region meant that he was capable of climbing the mountain.
