Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday, 12th March 2023, had an exclusive interviews with local Television channels in the country.

The second in command got an opportunity to share some unknown details about him him at the same time he defended the government and highlighted some government agenda.
At one point, the deputy president refuted claims that he has been showing bitterness to some leaders, he stated that he loves everyone and has never discriminated anyone.
The deputy president claimed that Former Kieni constituency member of Parliament Hon Kanini Kega who is currently a member of the East African Legislative Assembly, insulted him during former President Uhuru Kenyatta and even worked with ths former president to prosecute him, however, they have since reconciled and are close friends.
Gachagua stated that the reconciliation with Kega is a clear indication that he never holds grudges neither is he bitter with anyone.
"I have no bitterness with anybody, Kanini Kega used all sorts of insults against me, he was working with Uhuru Kenyatta to persecute me but when he reached out to me, I told him to come we work together" The Deputy president stated.
The deputy president further stated that he approached the former Kieni lawmaker for the talks as he was keen on bringing everyone on board despite the differences before the 2022 polls. He added that he is still talking to those who never supported them promising that he will continue with this.
The deputy president played an active role in rallying the Mount Kenya region members of Parliament to vote for Kega when he declared his bid to become EALA member or Parliament.
Kega has since declared that Gachagua is the Mount Kenya region Kingpin.
