Following a meeting that was held by the National Security Advisory Committee this morning to assess and consider the surity situation in the country, the National Police Service has issued a report to Kenyans. In its statement the police said that the situation is conducive for all Kenyans. Dr. Joseph Kinyua who is the chaorperson of the National Security Advisory Committee in his statement stated on behalf of the National Advisory Committee he is pleased to confirm that the nation remains peaceful and secure.
He also lauded Kenyans for exercising a high sense of civic duty and for demonstrating great patience as they waited for the final declaration of the presidential election results. Mr. Kinyua in his statement also appreciated the National Police Service and other security agents for the remarkable work done in maintaining law and order during and after the election period. The declaration of the presidential results had set in motion for other Constitutional processes for a smooth transition which is currently underway.
