Eng. Dida Comments After Observing What Ruto Did While Greeting Margaret Kenyatta At State House

Today, the President-elect William Ruto visited President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House Nairobi, just before his swearing-in which will take place on 13 September 2022. Uhuru took the incoming President and his spouse Rachel Ruto for a tour around State House which will be their residence for the next five years.

The President also wished Ruto all the best as he starts governing the country. The Kenya Kwanza leader on the other hand responded via a tweet that read, "Thank you President Kenyatta for the tour and orientation at State House Kenya and smooth management of the handover process. I am ready to carry on with the journey to transform the country for the better."

After the photos from the visit were released online, some people such as Eng. Mohamed Tache Dida started analysing them. One photo caught his eye and it was taken at the exact moment Ruto greeted the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta. Ruto humbly greeted Mrs. Kenyatta using both hands in a somewhat submissive manner.

Eng. Dida commented about Ruto's act by saying, "There are a lot of things Kenyans will learn from Ruto, one of which is consistency in respect and humility. Look at how he shakes the hand of the outgoing First Lady. This has been his way. Even with the tumultuous storm they've been through, his signature greeting didn't change."
