MPs Threaten To Hold A Protest Against Gov't Over This

Two months after taking office, Ruto's administration is still dealing with issues like the drought and rising prices. In some cases, the president was compelled to make unpleasant decisions like eliminating subsidies for a variety of commodities. The opposition leaders and some Kenyans have strongly denounced this action.

The National Government Constituency Development Fund is being quickly reinstated, and the parliament has started making a mandatory demand for it. The demand is being made by the parliament in response to a court decision that eliminated the fund and declared it unlawful.

Members of parliament, including those from Gichungu, Gichimu Githinji, and Matungulu, under the leadership of MPs Kihara, Githinji, and Mule, threatened to organize demonstrations calling for the rapid reinstatement of NG-CDF on Wednesday during an afternoon session. On behalf of the UDA party, Hon Kihara and Gichimu were elected.

"The purpose of NG-visit CDF's is to assist underprivileged children, not the children of MPs. In fact, we currently have parents waiting for bursaries from us. The unfair disparity in the country's development allocation has been addressed through CDF. Regardless of their political bent, all constituencies have been receiving the funding. We cannot return to a time when you had to petition the president to have your community benefit from government programs "The Naivasha MP was misled.

"I agree with the move made by Hon. Mule and Hon. Gichimu. In order to demand the return of NG-CDF, we are prepared to organize Kenyans and stage widespread protests. In this battle, we won't back down "Kihara added.
