In a speech delivered today from Nyandarua County when Deputy President William Ruto took his allies to AIC Church in Kinangop, the former Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri took a moment to passionately react to the current political affairs in the country.
Kiunjuri who was to speak prior to Deputy President William Ruto and welcome him to address residents of Kinangop started by narrating his personal journey with Deputy President William Ruto which he says dates back to 20 years ago.
That "for all those 20 I've known Deputy President William Ruto, there's no Sunday that he's missed church and therefore our arrival at this church was for fellowship not just a fundraiser."
He then moved on to react to President Uhuru's speech which he delivered when he was at Uthiru in Kabete constituency of Kiambu county on Friday saying the DP should support the Government or leave.
In his speech, Kiunjuri said that the DP has been a loyal and obedient assistant of the President and he's just done all that which any an assistant should've done.
Kiunjuri equated the President and the DP to a bishop and assistant bishop saying "as a bishop, your work is to tell the assistant bishop to preach the gospel and you shouldn't feel bad if your assistant is preaching in your church."
He then clarified that "there is no single day the DP has gone out there and said, I'm launching this road which I've constructed with my own money. He has always said that I'm opening this project which we've built as the Jubilee Government."
He then took a moment to relate our country's political affairs to the biblical exodus which had key people like Moses, Aaron, Joshua and Caleb.
Figuratively, Kiunjuri said that "President Uhuru is like the biblical Moses who took the children of Israel out of the land of bondage with the help of Joshua and Caleb but upon climbing down Mt Sinai after picking the ten commandments, he found Aron having created Idols for people to worship.
That Aaron is Raila Odinga buct luckily there is our Joshua here, the Deputy President William Ruto."
To DP Ruto, Kiunjuri told him that "choose your Caleb from among these people be it Moses Kuria, Ndindi Nyoro or anyone else and proceed with the journey to Canaan."
