JUST IN: President Uhuru Arrives at Undisclosed Nairobi Hotel For Meeting [Photos]

The President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, will be exiting State House in August when Kenyans hit the polls to elect a new president as per the requirements spelt out in the constitution.

In the ten years the President Uhuru has been in charge relations with other countries have been extraordinary with the country also reporting considerable economic growth.

The 39th Extraordinary Assembly of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Heads of State and Government Summit is kicking off this afternoon in Nairobi County and Kenya is the host nation this year.

Various heads of state from the member IGAD states have arrived in Nairobi for the meeting that is supposed to streamline inter nation development projects across the region.

According to the Official Social Media Handle of the State House Kenya this afternoon, the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, has arrived at the meeting where he has been welcomed by different dignitaries.

The President, has been accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary of Defense, Eugene Wamalwa and the Cabinet Secretary of Agriculture, Peter Munya at the event that is to run for a number of hours.

As the summit commences in Nairobi this afternoon, the President of Kenya has arrived at the undisclosed hotel for the meeting.

Here is the statement from The State House Kenya this afternoon, "The leaders of the eight-nation IGAD bloc which brings together the Horn of Africa, as well as the Nile Valley and the African Great Lakes countries, are this afternoon meeting in Nairobi to discuss peace and security and other very important regional priorities that tough on the lives of the citizens."
