The media has put President Ruto on a tight spot, after his two contradictory statement on his plan to counter check the banditry increase in some parts of the country.
According to reports,two month ago,on 5 November 2022, the President was echoed saying that " We agreed that in Turkana ,we will have a large military camp.Here in Samburu, West pokot we will also put a large military camp so we can empark our journey of ensuring that no mother will cry again because her children have lost their lives"
However, during yesterday's interview with the media the President overturned his statement and sadi that the banditry attack has not yet exceeded the limit to force them use KDF solders.
"The banditry menace is serious but hasn't reached the threshold for us to go to Parliament to get KDF involved." The Head of State quoted.
However,its clear that the President seems to give time to this bandits so that they can surrender and stop their attacks before its too late. Involvement of KDF solders will come with severe consequences which might get non banditry people injured.
