As a result of chanting from the crowd, Deputy President William Ruto was forced to cut short his speech today in the Kirigiti area of Kiambu county. This comes as a result of what he said about the chief of azimo la umoja, Raila Odinga. At the same time that he was promoting his own candidacy for president and the candidacies of his allies in Kiambu county, the county was also hosting elections.
The second in command of the Kenya Kwanza Movement, along with a few of leaders sympathetic to him in the organization, lashed out at Raila, stating that should he defeat him in the polls on Tuesday, they would not stand for it.
Raila ought to admit defeat and stop engaging in behaviors that indicate he refuses to accept loss.
Ruto is certain that he would be victorious over Raila in the elections that will take place on Tuesday.
A comment that caused the masses to start chanting and shouting back " Ruto, Ruto, " which forced him to cut his address short and end his speech prematurely.
While the second in command couldn' t help but crack a smile. The reaction of the crowd demonstrated their agreement with the declaration made by DP Ruto.
This comes as we are getting closer to the upcoming general election, and every leader is looking to be a part of the upcoming general election winner and build the next government following the polls on August 9.
