Former Cabinet secretary in the ministry of defence Eugene Wamalwa has come out to deliver a message to democratic action party Kenya (DAP-K) leader Wafula Wamunyinyi following his successful clearance to vie for a key position.
In a message on social media, the former cabinet secretary in the Jubilee administration congratulated Wamunyinyi following the crucial milestone of submitting his papers and being cleared by the independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) offices to contest.
Wamalwa who is also the party patron wished him all the best and prayed that the people of Bungoma county find him fit to occupy the position of county senator that fell vacant following the resignation of previous senator Moses Wetang'ula who is not the speaker of the national assembly.
"Hongera my friend Hon Wafula wamunyinyi on your clearance by the independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) today to contest the Bungoma County Senatorial seat. May the good people of Bungoma stand with you on 8th of December this year as you have stood with them through the years defending the rights of Sugar cane farmers and Devolution," Wamalwa said.
