The Nakuru County Court on Monday, the 5th of December makes a ruling against county governor Susan Kihika following her County Executive Committee appointments. A petition against her move was filed in Court and the Court has appealed to stop her ten appointees.
The governor on the 10th of October unveiled ten proposed County Executive Committees (CEC) which provoked dissatisfaction among some of the constituents. The petitioner criticized her appointment terming it as biased and thus should be rescheduled.
The Petitioner noted that the ten appointed County Executive Committee did not indicate equity among all tribes living in the County. He said that the governor appointed 70 percent from the Kikuyu, 20 percent from the Kalenjin, and 10 percent from the Luo communities abandoning other communities.
Consequently, the Court made a ruling that Susan Kihika's appointment doesn't adhere to tribal diversity in Nakuru county. However, she is required to ignore the list and make a new proposal.
