Laikipia Governor who doubled up as Raila's chief campaigner has been shown the door. Nderitu Muriithi having campaigned vigorously for Raila Odinga to win the seat but seems luck was not by his side following a humiliating defeat at the polls by a Ruto allied aspirant from the area.
Also defeated were 3 more governors who has thought to be strong contenders in the polls. The three were swept away by the UDA wave that seems to have caught up wit them. They included Lee Kinyanjui who has said that he will challenge the outcome in court after being defeated by Susan Kihika.
Adding up to the list are Governors James Nyoro of Kiambu who has come a distance third after being defeated by Kimani Wamatangi and Kimemia who also was defeated in Nyandarua. Ruto continues to await the final verdict to know if he will be the main man running the show.
