Laikipia woman representative Cate Waruguru who recently rejoined the UDA party is not afraid to lose her parliamentary committee job and has sent a strong message to President Uhuru Kenyatta amid a looming purge in the National Assembly.
Waruguru who is the vice-chairperson of the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Agriculture is among politicians who have been put on notice.
Despite being put on chopping board over disloyalty after she dumped President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party for Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA), the legislator has remained unbowed.
Waruguru on Wednesday 19th sent a string message to President Uhuru amid the looming purge, saying she was not worried about the imminent purge, adding that she had done her part for the period she sat in the committee and if removal from the commitee would be the sacrifice to pay for being in Hustler Nation, she was ready to pay.
Regarding her position in DP Ruto's camp, the youthful MP reiterated her unequivocal support for UDA and its ideologies ahead of the August general election.
"If my removal is the sacrifice I'll have to pay for being part and parcel of the Hustler Nation so be it. I have done my part which has seen significant strides in the sector spearheaded by the Committee. I have complete confidence in my colleagues who are equally qualified to be part of the committee. I hereby reiterate my unequivocal support for UDA and its ideologies," she stated.
