According to Mizani opinion polls released today by the polling organization, William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance will carry the in Nakuru County's gubernatorial and Senatorial race if the elections were held today.
According to the polls, among 50.3% of the respondents revealed that they would vote for Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja as their next Senator if elections were held today. Lawrence Karanja came a distant second with 27.% support, John Mututho third with 17.2%, Daniel Kimani Gitau fourth with 2.5%, Koigi was Wamwere the fifth with 1.1% and Thomas Mwangi last with 1.0%.
With only 0.4% of the voters yet to decide who they will vote for, it will be an uphill task for the other candidates to close the huge gap between them and Tabitha Karanja in the remaining six days ahead of the general elections.
Tabitha Karanja's party mate Susan Kihika is also enjoying a comfortable lead in the gubernatorial race according to the same polls. 59.9% of respondents revealed that they would vote for Susan Kihika if the elections were held today.
Her main rival Lee Kinyanjui who is defending his seat on Jubilee ticket is trailing with 36.3% support. Stanley Karanja is third with 2.1% followed by Munyua Waiyaki who enjoys 1.1% support, James Kiarie Muingai and Elijah Chege Karanja have 0.6% and 0.5% support respectively. This means that if elections were held today, UDA will carry the day in both the gubernatorial and Senatorial race.
