Untold Details About Longest Serving Female MP In Kenya Who Has No Signs Of Retiring Soon

Politics in Kenya has witnessed massive transformation. This is all against the old African Traditional tales as nowadays, women in our society can lead. Leadership nowadays is both for the female and the male as this has been boosted further by the 2/3rds gender rule from the 2010 Constitution. Well, have you ever wondered on who is the longest serving female politician in the country

This is none other than Naomi Shaban, the Member of Parliament for Taita Taveta Constituency. Naomi Shaban has successfully retained her sit for the forth time consecutively and has no plans for retiring soon. About her Education, Naomi Shaban passed with flying colours in Bura Girls before she joined Butere Girls for the O-Level studies.

This saw young Naomi Shaban to be admitted to the University of Nairobi whereby she graduated with a Dental Surgery Degree. The Jubilee Party elected leader currently serves in various parliamentary committees including being a member of the Public Accounts Committee, Parliamentary Committee on Appointments, House Business Committee, Catering and Health Club Committee. Raila Odinga, who is currently in Taita Taveta will not be welcomed by Shaban as she remains to be a key ally of Deputy President William Ruto
