
The senatorial nomination results in elgeyo marakwet had been officially announced.
The former senator of Elgeyo Marakwet, Hon Kichumba Murkomen has taken to his twitter account, where he congratulated the winners on the hotly contested race.

He posed "Congratulations Hon. William Kisang on your nomination as the UDA flag bearer for the upcoming Senatorial by-elections in Elgeyo Marakwet County. Congratulations also to all the other candidates who put up a spirited fight and performed exemplary"
He further posed "Let’s now move forward together as one indivisible family knowing that competition makes us strong together as it prepares us for service in our various capacities and different duty stations."
The by-elections will be held this December after the seat fell vacant following the appointment of Kipchumba Murkomen as the cabinet secretary.
The contest had attracted more than 15 aspirants under the UDA. The major competitors were Tim Kipchumba and William Kisang who emerge as the winner.
