Days before Kenyan Members of Parliament resumes session to debate and vote on the controversial Finance Bill o 2023, Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed Azimio's plans to shame MPs who will vote for the bill.
Speaking on Friday during his Thanksgiving event in Yatta farm, Kalonzo said they are planning to push for an open vote session, where all MPs will be called out by their names and are supposed to shout Yes or No to the bill.
He said this is the only way Kenyans will know who are with them against the controversial bill and those supporting it
"It is now clear that Kenya Kwanza lied to this land. The finance bill is a clear affirmation to their falsehood and we ask all MPs regardless of their political, and coalition inclinations to stand by the people and reject this bill in totality. We will push for an open vote where one's name is called out and they are publicly supposed to say Yes or No. We want to know who is with Kenyans or against them because this matter is so basic to us," stated Kalonzo
He also asked unions and other formations to come out and reject the bill, saying they should remit rejection memorandums of the same bill.
On her side, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua warned KenyaKwanza, saying they risk facing the wrath of the people if they continue disrespecting their voice and forcing high taxes on them.
"Mkiendelea vile mnaendela na kukosa kusikia sauti ya wakenya mamlaka itarudi kwa wanainchi na sisi wenyewe tutawafurusha nje. When you hear us demanding for servers, we know what we are doing, there is no need for another election in the country if this is the case, we better wait for names to be read out instead, so let's not tire, we will not go back to the table when we have been disrespected, we will not loose any Azimio partry to Kenya Kwanza," stated Karua
