His Excellency the Head of State president William Ruto has officially landed in Turkana county this Saturday afternoon.
The Kenyan Head of State was received by top government officials among them the Turkana county governor His Excellency Jeremiah Lomorukai.
"President William Ruto lands in Turkana.Nakaalei, Kalapata Ward, Turkana South Sub-County.Nakaalei Primary School...President has mobilized food for all the seven sub-counties....He will also launch the Livestock Take-Off Programme shortly. Archeology has placed the origin of humanity right here in Turkana....The former Turkana county governor Josphat Nanok who has since been appointed at the national level as deputy chief of staff was also present."Dennis Itumbi.

He has lauded the Head of State for seeing it worthy to visit the northern Kenya county at a time they are going through a lot of economic hardship due to the drought and famine that is currently affecting many.
"On behalf of residents of Turkana, I wish to welcome the Head of State to Turkana and look forward to his address and seeing what he has brought us " said Governor Lomorukai
On Friday, the Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai met the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Maalim Mohamed in preparation for President William Ruto’s visit to the county.
He added: "We are committed to strengthening collaboration with the National Government to address critical issues affecting residents of Turkana, key among them the current drought and runaway insecurity."
Turkana Professionals and residents have also lauded the Head of State William Ruto for appointing Geoffrey Kaituko as PS for Labour and former Gov.Josphat Nanok as Deputy Chief of Staff.
