Some few minutes ago, the Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commision, IEBC under the leadership of hon Wafula Chebukati came out to talk about the announcement of the presidential results in Kenya just a day after the conclusion of the voting process.
As reported by the NTV News, Chebukati who was talking from the Bomas of Kenya said that the IEBC will announce the presidential results vat an earlier time this time round. According to Chebukati, the law requires them to announce the results within 7 days after elections but for them, they will do this Within a very shortest time possible. As we talk, the IEBC has received over 95% of forms 34A countrywide. This means that overall results might be out as early as tomorrow.
"The law requires IEBC to declare the president-elect within seven days, the commission shall endeavour to conclude this exercise at the earliest time possible." Said hon Wafula Chebukati, the chairman of the IEBC.
