Speculations have gone wild across the nation after a planned meeting between the Kieleweke wing of the Jubilee Party and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party members was cancelled.
According to some of those who commented after the meeting was cancelled, it has been revealed that the ODM Party leader Raila Odinga was behind the cancellation of the meeting which had been planned to take place on Tuesday.
Through his normal updates on political developments throughout the country, Itumbi noted that Raila Odinga was the reasons why the meeting was cancelled after a phone call from the State House.
"That, Mt. Kenya Foundation had today planned a 2022 Election strategy luncheon at Safari Park Hotel. A phone call from State House saw the event cancelled at the last minute. The aborted event had already divided the Foundation right at the middle. Why? The Chief Guest was Raila Odinga. It is so declassified," wrote Dennis Itumbi.
However, responding to Itumbi's revelation, Mt. Kenya lawyer Wahome Thuku noted that the meeting was not cancelled but postponed as the chief guest, Mr. Odinga will not be around since will attending a funeral.
He termed Itumbi's revelation as mere propaganda which should not be taken serious as the meeting will be held at a later date.
"I received this invitation last night. After reading Thende fake propaganda I had to confirm if the meeting has been cancelled. I have been informed it has been postponed as the chief guest will be attending a funeral. It will be held on 28th. And yeah, I shall attend. Kwani tunahama Kenya? asked Wahome Thuku.
Various speculations have gone around pointing out that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga's political marriage is in shambles and plans are in motion to leave him out in the cold.
However, the two still work together and none has hinted on ditching the other as 2022 General elections are fast approaching.
