President William Ruto has decided to promote the current state house spokesperson Hussein Mohamed, a local media house has reported.
According to the report, the former Citizen TV news anchor who also served in the William Ruto campaign team is no longer working under the director of the presidential press service and has been promoted to work independently.
This means that the long bureaucratic process which Hussein had to go through via David Mugonyi, whom he served under as the deputy, has been removed and Hussein will now work directly with the head of state.
“The executive Order number 1 of 2023 removes the long processes and streamlines communication in the high office. We expect a seamless flow of information and less bureaucracy because of less and clear reporting lines, an insider disclosed.

The executive order that has been seen by this writer created the two offices (that of Mugonyi and that of Mohamed) as independent offices under the office of the president.
