In an interview with the Standard on Sunday, Waruguru who hinted of joining United Democratic Alliance party for 2022's politics told off the leaders for always 'blindfolding' the residents on allegations that they have been meeting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She argued that the leaders are using the president's name to gain political mileage, while taking the residents for a ride.
She went on to tell them to reach out to the president, and inform him how Kenyans and Central Region residents are unhappy with his government owing to the high cost of living.
The vocal MP further warned the leaders led by Kieni MP Kanini Kega and Nyeri MP Ngunjiri Wambugu that if they do not let the president know what is happening at village levels, most of the residents and leaders will decamp to Ruto's side.
The lawmaker bravely stated that if the Kieleweke leaders do not take an urgent decision, the region will unanimously vote for the DP in the coming presidential polls.
"The ground is politically slippery, if you don’t do something he [Ruto] will run away with the votes."
