'Sitakufuata' - DP Ruto Sets Records Straight on Going After Uhuru After August Elections

Recently, the deputy president sparked a hot debate after he indirectly indicated that he would go after president Uhuru Kenyatta incase he wins the hot August Statehouse race. Ruto said that he would form a judicial commission to investigate what he termed as Uhuru's capture of state agencies and some of the policies put in place by outgoing Uhuru.

Addressing Kenyans today in a rally in Tharaka Nithi county, Ruto set the records straight concerning allegations that he was planning to go after president Uhuru Kenyatta should he win the Statehouse race.

"I want to tell president Uhuru Kenyatta that it is not him that am competing with. Am competing with Mr. Vitendawili. I will not go after you. Retire peacefully," said Ruto.

A number of politicians allied to the Azimio La Umoja coalition led by chief spokesperson professor Makau Mutua had condemned Ruto's plan saying that it was a recipe for chaos.
