Why Only 3 Mps And 5 Out Of 92 Kiambu MCAs Attended Raila's Event In Thika On Saturday.

The ODM Leader Raila Odinga was in Thika on Saturday to drum up Support for his presidential bid.

After making peace with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila hopes to get as many votes as possible from the mount Kenya region.

During the weekend rally , Kiambu governor James Nyoro promised him the region's Support in August 9 as he seeks to become Kenya's fifth president.

Nevertheless, reports are emerging that a number of local leaders didn't attend the Azimio la umoja rally because of what they term as Poor organization.

People daily has revealed that only five out of 92 members of Kiambu county assembly attended the event.

Similarly, only three members of Parliament out of 14 attended the launch of Raila's campaigns.

The three are: Jude Njomo of Kiambu town, wanjiku wa kibe of Gatundu north, and Simon kingara of Ruiru.

A number of those who didn't attend told the media that they were not invited to the event by the organizers.

"Personally I had no issue with the meeting but the organizers didn't consult us as expected to agree on a few modalities . There is no point of attending a meeting where you appear as a flower girl", said thika town MCA Andrew Kimani.

He added that most Leaders from kiambu don't have a problem with Raila or any other presidential Candidate visiting the county.
