Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki now says the court will clear the way for Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Through his official Facebook page Kindiki said hopefuly the member of county Assemblies will be guided by National interest. 

"The Courts are likely to clear the way to the BBI referendum in the long run. Hopefully, the Members of the County Assemblies of Kenya will be guided by the National interest in the scrutiny and eventual decision of approving or rejecting the BBI bill," said the Tharaka Nithi senator. 

Kindiki is a staunch supporter of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

Dickson Wachira says "Prof., the threshold is very low; 24 counties, 20% of voters in those counties and a simple majority in the referendum is quite easily achievable. Needless to say, you were part of the drafters of the 2010 Constitution,"

Elizabet Oyuchi wrote "Pipe dream when it comes to the county assembly not after being bribed by the 2 million car grant. But Im super certain that it will not sail through when it comes to the Common man. unless Of course if its rigged,"

Carol Karendi says "You are on record saying that county assembly will approve the draft and Wanjiku will disapprove it. Why the double speak. Stick to BBI will not sail through and wait for the outcome. BBI is an idea whose time has come,"

Fortune Sitad says "County Assemblies have been guided and cleared in Sagana and Kisumu, so expect maximum approval of BBI by the County Assemblies, OK?"
