Ruto's Aide Farouk Kibet Opens up on Alleged Ruto-Raila Coalition, Sets Tough Conditions

With rumours of a probable coalition between Deputy President William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Odinga intensifying ahead of 2022, one of William Ruto's close ally and personal aide Farouk Kibet has weighed in on the same.

Taking to his Twitter page on Monday evening, Farouk, who has been hesitant to talk on the alleged coalition, welcomed Raila's move but set one condition for him.

He insisted on the need for a coalition that will only ensure Ruto's presidency is agreed on, saying any other coalition from that is a dream and will not be achieved.

"The only agenda we have in any coalition is making WsR the President. Mengine ni hadithi za badae" tweeted Farouk

His tweet comes at a time most of William Ruto's allies, especially those from Mt. Kenya region have stayed put and rubbish any coalition between Raila and Ruto.

Led by Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, the MPs have warned Ruto against endorsing Raila, adding that the ODM boss is well known for his character of destroying parties and coalitions.

The same has been echoed by Muranga Senator Irungu Kamng'ata, who has insisted that they will support any coalition with Raila Odinga to support Ruto for presidency in 2022 and not vice versa.

He added that they will not hear any suggestions to have Ruto step out in favour of Raila in 2022.
