The Unidentified Corruption in Chief Camps, Sub county Offices and Other Government Offices

In Kenya, Chief camps, CDF offices, and Sub-county offices are often used by people whenever they are faced with certain issues regarding their citizenship, monetary requests, and other statutory duties. However, these offices have so long thrived in corruption.

Bribery is often the talk of the day. Allegations have been made that in some areas, in order for the chief to append his/her signature onto one's document, then one must be ready to pay them. This begs the question of whether the government pays them for such duties.

The most affected stages include the application for national ID, request for bursaries, and the making of land title deeds. In all these events, the officers staged at the various departments often ask for money from the citizens in return for the government-sponsored projects.

In areas such as the issuance of bursaries, it has been discovered that it is only the rich who may at times get the help.
