And on Wednesday, renowned political analyst and Raila Odinga's ally Herman Manyara came out to speak on the probabilities of the self-declared Hustler becoming the head of state in 2022.
According to Manyora, Ruto has slim chances of winning the presidency next year, but could still come back strong in 2027 and win with a resounding victory, only if he can shelve his ambitions and support Raila Odinga in 2022.
"Ruto could easily support Raila (an old man going home soon) ij a deal where he succeeds him. It will be the easiest thing for him to become the president in 2027" stated Mayora.
He, however, maintained that Ruto and Raila should square it out in 2022 on level ground without interferences from the state. He claimed that Ruto is not ready to sit down and reconcile with his boss Uhuru Kenyatta, adding that the things he is currently saying are a total disrespect to Uhuru.
"He is still the same disrespectful DP. He is so disrespectful and this shows he cannot hold President Uhuru with the respect he deserves...you cannot sit down with him, it is a waste of time" claimed Manyora.
Manyora went ahead to claim that the DP will stand to lose the Mt Kenya vote ahead of 2022, once the region shifts their attention to big leaders like Uhuru Kenyatta to seek direction.
According to him, Ruto has insisted on not forming any tribal coalition with any party from the region, and this will work against him in the near future.
"The people of Mt Kenya, in the fullness of time, will begin to seek direction from their leaders and not these small leaders around Ruto. The community will start receiving directions from the people they can trust. Ruto will not win elections without coalitions" he said
He said the community will finally listen to their king Uhuru Kenyatta when he begins to speak in 2022.
