President Uhuru Kenyatta who was supposed to open the event in person is currently in South Africa. He then sent Raila to represent him during the event.

Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu is one of the governors who are attending the conference, and who came along with several products produced in Kitui.
She came with many products, among them the Kitui’s popular local drink’ ‘KALUVU’, which is wine made from honey and sugar.
Ngilu has said the drinks have attracted many customers at the conference.
She has thanked her customers for liking the products.
