Siaya: Otiende Amollo Reacts After His Opponent Drew A Gun In Clash With Angry Crowd

In the aftermath of the unfortunate events that happened at Ruma primary school in Siaya's Rarieda constituency which was being used as a polling stations involving a parliamentary aspirants and angry crowd today on August 9th, the area MP that's Rarieda MP Hon. Otiende Amollo has blamed his opponent over the incident.

Otiende Amollo who is seeking to defend his Rarieda seat on an ODM ticket in this election has blasted Neto Adhola, a UDM aspirant seeking to unseat him in reaction to the matter.

The legislator has argued that the clash wouldn't have occured had Neto avoided stepping a foot at Ruma polling station because he's neither an agent nor a registered voter there.

He also castigated Neto for making the election look like a matter of life and death by drawing a gun instead of peacefully leaving after being urged to leave the polling station.

Taking to Facebook, Otiende Amollo shared a screenshot of a video capturing the incident with a caption that "Rarieda decides: it should never be this serious! One of my opponents, Neto Adhola, drawing a gun on voters at Ruma polling station, where he is neither an agent nor a voter."

He added that "voters need persuasion not intimidation. May the day end peacefully."
