Kenyans were on Thursday left wordless after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) revealed that Cherera and three other Commissioners harmoniously embarked on a process to hold elections. The Commission held a by-election planning workshop in readiness for a senatorial election in Bungoma and County Assembly Wards in Ololmasani (Narok), Kyome/Thaana (Kitui), Utawala (Nairobi), and South Gem in Nyanza.
The meeting saw Cherera, Mrs. Irene Masit, and the other Commissioners who sparked uproar on the 15th of August on their sensational remarks join Chebukati for yet another electoral process on the 8th of December.
A section of Kenyans, however, unforgivably wanted to know whether Cherera and her team would still conduct the by-elections despite their criticized behaviour in the August polls.
While officially opening the workshop, the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati urged Cherera, among other officials to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism during the much-anticipated by-elections.
A section of Kenyans however, had these to say;
