With nine months to the August ninenth general elections, politicians have ignited the campaign mood across the country. Coalitions are being formed left right and center as leaders change their loyalty. Several political leaders have announced their intentions to vie for presidency. They include Raila Odinga, William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi and Alfred Mutua. The current Machakos governor is set to vie on a Maendeleo Chapchap party.
Mutua has revealed the launch of his presidential bid. "Kesho, Sunday Dec 5th 2021, at 1 pm, I will unveil my 2022 presidential and Maendeleo Chap Chap Manifesto. Forget the other so called economic theories, Mine is a realistic, original and implementable plan for recovery and propelling Kenya to greatness. Mambo ni fresh na Mutua." His social media post read.
The governor had earlier on admitted to working closely with the ODM leader ahead of next year's general elections. He has however not confirmed if he will form a coalition to support Odinga.
