Hon Kabogo Makes Declaration on 2022 Presidential Race as MP Maore Reacts to Raila's Mt Kenya Entry

The 2022 succession politics is currently in high gear as deputy president William Ruto and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga seemingly leave no stone unturned in their quest to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.

However, former Kiambu county governor William Kabogo has reminded kenyans that the presidential race is not only about the "usual suspects" while reminding them that the Mt Kenya region may be scheming to produce a presidential candidate.

"People assume there will not be a Kikuyu or mount Kenya candidate and I don't know where that notion comes from because some of us are there and we may want to vie," he said.

At the same time, MP Maoka Maore has reacted to ODM party leader Raila Odinga's triumphant entry into the Mt Kenya region saying that the region has finally opened its eyes. Maore says that he was gladdened by the warm reception which Raila Odinga was given in the region.

"The mountain has opened its eyes, this time we are looking at Raila Odinga with a different lens. It was a crowning moment for me to see people from my constituency voting with their bodies, their feet, and ears to come and see him," he stated.
