Baringo Senator Gideon Moi's Kanu Party is set to flex muscles with Raila Odinga's ODM in Kisii and Nyamira counties come August 9th general elections.
This is after Gideon Moi on Wednesday, unveiled his gubernatorial candidates for the two counties who will run on Kanu tickets.
Taking to his Facebook page, Gideon welcomed Professor Reuben Marwanga and Dr Ken Omanga to Kanu and unveiled the two as the party candidates for gubernatorial races in Nyamira and Kisii counties respectively.
Gideon said Kanu is going to field and support Kanu candidates throughout the country for the next general polls.
This comes at a time the gubernatorial race in the two counties has given ODM party boss Raila Odinga a rough time on who he will support.
ODM party already has Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and Senator Sam Ongeri all of whom are fighting for the party's ticket in Kisii county.
In Nyamira, ODM has attracted ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire, Governor Amos Nyaribo, former MPs Walter Nyambati, Mwancha Okioma, Kiangoi Ombasa, among others.
