At the wake of 9th March 2018, his Excellency President Kenyatta and Right Honorable Raila Odinga surprised the nation in a life changing event in Kenyan politics. It was never in the mind of Kenyans that these two who were at a helm of divisive elections and hurling insults at each other would sit and eat from the same plate. The handshake cooled the country's political temperatures.2. Fight Against Corruption
In his second term, president Kenyatta has intensified his fight against corruption. In his administration he has in much vigour prosecuted several corruption cases which has seen two governors out of office, that is, Kiambu governor Waititu and Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.3. Removing Anybody Undermining His Legacy From Office
President Kenyatta has without mercy removed anybody who has undermined him and doing contrary to his wishes. He openly warned politicians against premature 2022 campaigns and promised to remove anybody who would stand on his way to delivering his promises to Kenyans. He has seen the removal of Majority whip Kipchumba Murkomen, Irungu Kang'ata and other chairs from their committee including Kimani Ichung'wa.
4. Building Bridges Initiative
This is another legacy that president Kenyatta wants to leave to Kenyans. He want to leave the country in safe hands, a country that will not engage in divisive elections after every 5 years. He and Hon Raila Odinga are determined to change the 2010 constitution.5. The Fuel Prices
It is in President Kenyatta last term that a country has experienced two varying fuel prices. After the strike of Corona virus in 2020 the fuel price had drastically went down. In 2021 the same fuel has hiked with a litter of petrol costing up to ksh130 in some parts of Kenya.What will you remember president Kenyatta for in his second and last term?
