The race to state house is perceived by many to be a two horse race between the ODM leader Raila Odinga and the Deputy president, William Ruto.
The One Kenya Alliance which is being driven by Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi and Moses Wetangula is also a force to reckon and believes it will beat all odds to emerge successful.
Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala who is very determined to see his party leader Musalia Mudavadi ascend to power has given one condition under which OKA will beat Raila's Azimio la Umoja.
Malala has said that OKA will be successful only if it chooses Mudavadi to be its presidential flag bearer. Malala said Mudavadi had sacrificed for Kalonzo in the past and it's therefore time for Kalonzo to reciprocate.
Cleophas Malala – Senator, Kakamega: ANC is still in OKA but we are looking for other friends beyond OKA. If Musalia Mudavadi becomes the flag bearer of OKA, we will overtake Azimio la Umoja.
