The President of the Republic of Kenya Dr William Samoei has pledged to join hands with all elected leaders so as to eradicate poverty in Kenya. Speaking while in Mombasa County during the official launch of the construction of the Dongo Kundu gas plant, President William Ruto addressed the issue of poverty just after one of the Kenyan Comedian Eric Omondi led peaceful demonstration against the high cost of living.
"I promise you that I will join hands with all elected leaders so as to eradicate poverty", President William Ruto. 
On the other hand Rigathi Gachagua commented on why Raila Odinga lost the job African Union. Rigathi Gachagua siad that it was as the result of demonstration that Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance usually carry out in this country.
"Huyu mzee hii maandamano inamtia hasara kubwa. Yeye amekua na kazi kubwa ya AU infrastructure akaipoteza kwa sababu ya maandamano", Rigathi Gachagua.
